History
MACOSA was created on March 15th, 1973. Specialized in manufacture in subcontracting of medium range foundation garments and underwear, it profited from the blooming of the market of the female lingerie at the end of the Seventies having for customers all the famous French brands and some European. It counted up to 250 employees at the end of the Nineties.
From 1995 to 1999 with the amplification of delocalization, MACOSA has to find new clients in the top and luxury range and started to manufacture new products like swimwear, beachwear, big size lingerie, young and child's lingerie, sport lingerie, maternity lingerie, homewear, nightwear and marine tee-shirts. It also deals with young creators who start and integrate two or three of them per year.
The request moving, our qualified employees left the very important series and were accustomed to small and very small series (5 pieces by size/color/cup).
To widen the pallet of services, a pattern department was created in June 2004 with two pattern makers able to develop the collections by interpreting the sketches of the stylists of the brands.
For 10 years, MACOSA has been internationalized since it works from now on mainly for many foreign clients coming from Great-Britain, Australia, Austria, Belgium, Germany, Holland, ..... MACOSA counts 90 employees today, mainly women (94%). Established not far from Paris in rural environment, it takes part in the balance of town and country planning. It is also the first subcontractor of France in its field.
